Francis Collins, the former Director of the Human Genome Project at NIH, and Director of NIH between 2009 and 2021, founded the BioLogos Foundation to help Christians and others address questions relating to biological evolution. Their web site puts it this way: “BioLogos invites the church and the world to see the harmony between science and biblical faith as we present an evolutionary understanding of God’s creation.”
Francis was awarded the prestigious 2020 Templeton Prize for his work in promoting the harmony between science and Christian faith.
